What we report on

WR-News covers international and regional news through a human and children’s rights lens.

This means we report on:

  • Global politics and policy decisions
  • Conflicts, crises and humanitarian situations
  • Social and economic developments
  • Education, health, migration and justice
  • Civil society, charities and philanthropy

Importantly, not every story we cover is traditionally labelled as “human rights news”. Many topics only reveal their human rights relevance when examined more closely — for example through their impact on children, vulnerable groups or long-term social justice.

Our approach is not advocacy journalism. Instead, we apply internationally recognised human rights standards as an analytical framework to help readers better understand the consequences of global events.
